Fayetteville's Finest Cafe

1240 GA-54 #200, Fayetteville, GA 30214 (770) 460-7888

Our Story

The original Village Cafe was started in 1990 by Patrick & Susie Butier as a way to showcase Patrick's knowledge of French-American cuisine. The Butier's sold the restaurant to Tom Shaver in 2003. The restaurant continued to be a staple in Fayette County Georgia until 2008. In 2010, Mark Wurster & Philip Stark moved the Village Cafe to its current location at Togawatee Village and they continued the French American and Italian-American Southern cuisine. In 2016, the partners sold the Village Cafe to the current owner, Eric Hartel. His passion for creative cooking is showcased with the amazing dishes he pairs at the monthly wine tastings the Village Cafe now hosts.

I went today to try it out. It was excellent. The calamari for appetizer was not chewy. The salmon was a little over cooked on the end but the rest of it was excellent. I enjoyed the spinach and mash potatoes. Derek was an excellent waiter. Ask for him when you go. The atmosphere was relaxed.

Wow!! I had heard many great things about this place before my husband and I went on a date night... and man that was DELICIOUS!! I ordered the surf and turf and it was amazing. My hubby had sirloin tips and said it was equally amazing! Highly recommend!!!

I have eaten here twice and although each order was a little different they were excellent. I had the mushroom swiss burger and recently the prime rib sandwich. I would recommend their house potatoes, Mmmm Soo good. I can't wait to try something else soon.

We got our meals curbside, and was pleasantly surprised! The food was delicious. My husband got the mushroom Swiss hamburger and I got the shrimp platter, both were excellent.

Wonderful place. Great atmosphere. The decor is very quaint and modern rustic, if that's a thing. Service was impeccable! My wife has Celiac disease and our server was very knowledgeable and caring about her needs. The food is delicious and affordable. We will definitely be back.

This places got it together. Service was prompt and very friendly. Dallas was our waitress and she was great. Shrimp Scampi was really good and lasagna was amazing. Carrot cake was super moist and not super sweet. Overall we will come back now that we moved to this area.
